Order received

The Order will create a Vetting case which will be assigned to an Agent who will oversee issuing of your certificates.

Initial vetting

The information provided in the order (Organisation name and address) will be verified.

OV SSL requires a self-validation of the domains. The customer is provided with a link to their order-specific Domain Verification Page (DVP) where the domain validations can be performed upon submission of the OV SSL certificate.

If the customer placed the order for OV MSSL Profile which already include Domains, Vetting will email the domain validation options to customer before the verification call takes place.

Order is confirmed

Once all documents have been received, the Vetting Agent will contact the Organisation named in the certificate to confirm the Signers affiliation with the Organisation and approve the issuance of the order.

The Vetting Agent must do this through one of our Verified Methods of Communication below:

Verified methods of Communication

  1. A call to your company’s registered telephone number as verified in our independent sources. Your direct number or email address can be confirmed during this call.
  2. A letter to your company’s registered address, containing a password for you to confirm your order via telephone or email.
  3. A letter of attestation from a TPV such as a registered Latin notary, lawyer or accountant, confirming an alternative verified method of communication.
  4. Confirmation signed with a publicly trusted certificate (additional verification may be required).
  5. A recent telephone bill in the name of your organisation (or the name of a listed director), showing a telephone number on which, we can reach you.

We are only allowed to use contact details verified in our independent sources. This does not include Google searches or details from your own website.

  1. Organisations with an operational existence of less than 3 years may require further documentation.
  2. EV MSSL Profile verification is due every 13 months. Furthermore, if the Profile is not controlled by the Applicant, its Parent, Subsidiary or Affiliate (i.e., Administrator of the Account is not an employee of the Applicant, its Parent, Subsidiary or Affiliate), a separate form must be signed by the Applicant’s representative. GlobalSign will send this form to the customer together with the Request Form and Subscriber Agreement Form which need to be signed by the Organisation named in the certificate.
  3. Form which need to be signed by the Organisation named in the certificate. If the customer has placed an order for the EV MSSL Profile, which already includes Domains, Vetting will email the domain validation options to the customer along with the Request Form and Subscriber Agreement Form.
