BOSTON, MA and AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – October 27, 2017 – GMO GlobalSign (www.globalsign.com), a leading provider of identity and security solutions, today announced a partnership with the Ecommerce Foundation, a provider of the Safe.Shop Trust Mark. The Safe.Shop Ecommerce Trust Mark is designed to help online retailers selling globally improve consumer trust, and ultimately to increase their transactions. “GlobalSign is the first American partner of our newly launched program,” said Jorij Abraham, managing director of the Ecommerce Foundation. “We are very pleased to be working with a company that has deep experience in the global ecommerce space.”

GlobalSign has worked with many ecommerce companies throughout its 20-year history, delivering SSL/TLS digital certificates to ensure safe and secure ecommerce practices. Establishing trust between online buyers and merchants is essential to ecommerce success and the company recognizes that efforts like the Safe.Shop Ecommerce Trust Mark are an important step in ensuring customer confidence in global online retailers.

“At GlobalSign, our encryption technology ensures that information critical for ecommerce transactions, such as passwords and credit card details, are kept safe and secure. And because we’ve always had a strong base of ecommerce customers relying on us for secure transactions, we are very well aware of the issues impacting this industry,” said Henry Krumins, western head of sales and marketing, GlobalSign. “GlobalSign is pleased to be partnered with the Ecommerce Foundation and to increase the visibility of safe and secure ecommerce and to improve online shopping worldwide.”
