It has been confirmed that Apple's 47-day proposal has been formally accepted by the CA/B Forum following a majority vote by the relevant Certificate Authorities and Certificate Issuers. All 4 major browser vendors (Google, Apple, Mozilla and Microsoft) also voted in favor. This consensus means that the changes will be adopted, with slight changes to the timeline.
