Group CEO & Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Chujo is the Group President and Chief Executive Officer for GlobalSign and holds additional office as a Director for the publicly quoted GMO Cloud organization.
Prior to being appointed as Group President and CEO for GlobalSign, Mr. Chujo held the position of CEO for GeoTrust Japan. As the exclusive distributor for GeoTrust products in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Asian countries, GeoTrust Japan established itself as the number one independent distributor for GeoTrust worldwide. Within the four years of its operation, GeoTrust Japan had increased GeoTrust market share from 1% to 33% for the domestic Japanese market.
Before being appointed as CEO of GeoTrust Japan, Mr. Chujo was one of the two co-founders of Isle Inc and led the company to achieve the number one market share for the web hosting industry in Japan. Prior to Isle Inc, Mr. Chujo founded RapidSite Inc, a company enjoying the reputation as one of the world’s premier hosting providers during the 1990s, and RapidSite Japan Inc, where he continued to hold an Executive Director position until the merger of Isle Inc and RapidSite Japan Inc into the GMO Hosting & Security Inc, now renamed GMO Cloud. Mr. Chujo graduated from the University of Tokai with a Bachelor of Science in 1987.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Mr Kanno is the Group Chief Financial Officer for GlobalSign and oversees all financial aspects of the GlobalSign companies.
Mr Kanno sits on the board of GMO Cloud, and overlooks five GMO Cloud subsidiary companies. He became involved with GMO Internet Group in 2003, when he joined Isle Inc, a GMO company, as the newly appointed Head of Business Planning and was responsible for the company's financial planning and reporting as well as being a key member of the management and strategy team.
Prior to joining the GMO, Mr Kanno was an Accountant with Deloitte Tohmatsu, specialising in and practicing Financial and IPO Consulting. During his tenure with Deloitte Tohmatsu, Mr Kanno was involved in taking three organizations public. Mr Kanno is a Certified Public Account and graduated from Keio University’s Department of Accountancy in 1995.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Takenobu is the Chief Operating Officer for GlobalSign K.K (Japan) and APAC, and one of the founding board members of the GlobalSign group. In his role, Mr. Takenobu is responsible for all operational aspects, including directing the sales, customer service, operations, and technical planning groups.
Prior to establishing GlobalSign, Mr. Takenobu held numerous roles within GMO Internet group companies. In 2000, he joined A’ll (now GMO Cloud) in a technical marketing position and in 2003 was one of the key members to establish GeoTrust Japan – the exclusive provider of GeoTrust products throughout Asia. In 2007 Mr. Takenobu was appointed as a Director within GlobalSign, and was appointed as COO in 2010.
Mr. Takenobu also leads GlobalSign’s emerging markets team – a dedicated team of marketing and business development staff dedicated to introducing localized GlobalSign products and services to fast growing global markets.
General Manager of EMEA and Operational Performance Officer
Simon Labram is the General Manager for GlobalSign’s EMEA operations. He also serves as GlobalSign’s Global Operational Performance Officer, where his team provide tools and processes that help drive best in class Operational effectiveness.
Previously Simon was responsible for GlobalSign’s Client Services for 5 years, providing the Customer Support and Verification services used by the group globally.
Simon joined GlobalSign in 2007 from ASL Designs Ltd, a design consultancy he founded that has run a number of highly successful design projects for clients in the medical, media and consumer markets. As well as providing a complete outsourced product development function, Simon also advised clients on rapid product development techniques, product certification, development team management and process improvement. He has managed off shore development and manufacturing teams and has a wealth of experience in the complete product development lifecycle.
In 2000, Simon was invited to create and lead an Engineering Department by Myacom, a start-up joint venture with Ericsson. Simon rapidly set up a highly efficient team with hardware, software and mechanical disciplines and created ISO 9000 compliant processes later used as models for other start-ups. Simon was responsible for all aspects of new product developments and Myacom quickly enjoyed very high volumes of sales to blue chip customers including British Telecom. By providing best in class design, regular product innovations and managing costs, he was instrumental in quadrupling profit margins in an intensely competitive market.
Simon graduated from Nottingham Trent Polytechnic with a BSc (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
General Manager of Americas and Chief Product Officer
Lila Kee is the General Manager for GlobalSign’s North and South American operations as well as GlobalSign's Chief Product Officer providing operational direction in the Americas and driving the product vision for the global organization.
Lila came to GlobalSign with over 20 years of PKI experience most previously from GeoTrust (a VeriSign company) where in 2003 she joined as Senior Product Manager. While at GeoTrust, Lila worked closely with Adobe Systems to launch the “first to market” identity and data integrity solution for securing Adobe PDF documents, branded Certified Document Services (CDS). She was also responsible for managing GeoTrust’s client certificate product portfolio for both retail and enterprise platforms supporting a wide range of applications including code signing, secure email, web access, device, and document signing.
Prior to GeoTrust, Lila was Strategic Account Manager for RSA, now a security division of EMC, where she was responsible for managing critical technology partners and key strategic customers. Before RSA, Lila spent over 14 years providing product management to GTE Government System’s spin off, CyberTrust, later acquired by Baltimore Technologies.
Lila holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration concentrated in finance with a minor in political science; Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University, and a MBA degree from Bentley College.
Head of Sales and Marketing
Henry Krumins is Head of Sales and Marketing for all GlobalSign’s West operations (Americas and EMEA). Henry is primarily responsible for managing the company’s sales and marketing teams, developing the strategic marketing vision and achieving sales performance goals and success.
Henry joined GlobalSign in early 2007 and over the past 10 years he has helped drive the Western business from under to $2 million to nearly $30 million in annual sales. Prior to GlobalSign, he was with GeoTrust where in 2003 he significantly expanded GeoTrust's European reseller channel to over 3000 partners. In mid-2004, he extended the organization’s focus on online security, to include document signing, identity authentication solutions and managed services aimed at the enterprise market.
Henry graduated in 1987 from Sheffield University with a BSc (Tech), in Materials Science and Technology.
Special Projects Director
Steve Roylance is responsible for GlobalSign’s key business and technology alliances, as well as directing many aspects of GlobalSign’s revenue generating technology strategy.
Prior to joining GlobalSign, Steve was appointed as Business Development Director, EMEA for GeoTrust where he successfully evangelized new technology such as the Adobe Certified Document Services (CDS) product range to key industry verticals such as e-invoicing. Before joining GeoTrust, Steve also held the position of Technical Marketing Director for 3 years with Comodo – where he led the growth of Comodo’s SSL Certificate brand (InstantSSL) and other products.
In May 2005 Steve initiated a call to action to leaders in the Certificate Authority and Browser industry which later became the CA/Browser Forum delivering specifications for the next generation of Extended Validation SSL Certificates.
Steve holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Aston University.
Carolyn Oldenburg is the General Counsel at GlobalSign. In this role, she is responsible for all of GlobalSign’s legal matters including managing all contracts and agreements, Certificate Practice Statements (CPS), standards development, and serving as GlobalSign’s legal voice in membership forums and organizations including the CA/B Forum.
Carolyn came to GlobalSign with over 20 years of legal experience as well as over 9 years of PKI experience most previously with GeoTrust (a VeriSign company). While at GeoTrust, Carolyn was the Director of Legal Operations and Security for 5 years where she was responsible for all legal matters including GeoTrust’s WebTrust annual security audits and all corporate compliance policies.
Prior to joining GeoTrust, Carolyn held the positions of Senior Contracts Specialist and Director of Contracts and Counsel at GTE CyberTrust Solutions (since acquired by Baltimore Technologies) and Baltimore Technologies. During her time at CyberTrust Carolyn was responsible for providing legal support for the launch of new Internet security products as well as services agreements and offerings.
Carolyn is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and holds a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from Suffolk University Law School as well as a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
