BOSTON, MANovember 7, 2018 GMO GlobalSign (www.globalsign.com), a global Certificate Authority and leading provider of identity and security solutions for the Internet of Everything (IoE), today announced it will present a webcast entitled “eIDAS Regulations and Solutions”. It will be available for viewing Tuesday, November 14th at 6am ET/11am GMT.

This educational webcast will feature a presentation from Andrea Servida, Head of Unit eGovernment and Trust at the European Commission’s DG CONNECT. Servida will discuss the need for digital signatures versus paper-based workflows and how the latest cloud technologies are eliminating the barriers to adoption, making it easier than ever to deploy legally acceptable, trusted digital signatures. In addition, GlobalSign’s Ronald De Temmerman will offer a brief introduction to the company, in terms of the company’s digital signing solutions and as a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP), and the solutions it brings to eIDAS regulations.

Event logistics:

  • Name: “eIDAS Regulations and Solutions”
  • Date: Tuesday, November 14th at 6am ET/11am GMT

Last month, GlobalSign announced it is now a recognized QTSP. By doing so, GlobalSign is now one of the first global CA’s to issue qualified digital certificates to users and organizations for the purpose of applying Qualified Electronics Signatures and Seals to documents, including regulated industries, across the European Union. Qualified electronic signatures and seals have the same legal effect as handwritten signatures and presume the integrity and origin of the document. These qualified certificates must be recognized and accepted across all member states of the EU.

GlobalSign’s new qualified certificates for electronic signatures and seals will be available in December.
