This morning we officially announced our acquisition of Ubisecure, a Helsinki-based identity and access management (IAM) software developer. We are really excited to have this talented team of IAM experts join us, and we welcome the employees, customers and partners of Ubisecure to GlobalSign!
Ubisecure provides the essential technology and talent needed to execute on our strategy to become the end-to-end identity services leader for the Internet of Everything (IoE). Combining their IAM technology and our identity and authentication services and experience, we will be able to mediate trust to enable safe commerce, communications, content delivery and community interactions for billions of transactions, around the world, in every moment.
It’s no secret that the IoE is huge and expected to grow to include 50 billion “things” by 2020.[1] The ability to make secure networked connections among people, processes, data and things will require that every “thing” have a trusted identity. We’ve been verifying and authenticating identities for websites, organizations and devices for years, and believe that the synergy between our CA services and Ubisecure’s IAM services will create a platform that will deliver exceptional capabilities and massive scalability.
