Q: Does GlobalSIgn offer Code Signing certificates to Individuals Developers
A: Yes, GlobalSign now provides Code Signing certificates to Individual developers without an Organization affiliation
Q. What types of CodeSigning certificates are available to Individual Developers
A. GlobalSign Multi-purpose code signing certificates support a variety of platforms see http://www.globalsign.com/code-signing/ for list of supported platforms. Multi-platform code signing certificates are available to both Individual and Organizations-based developers.
Q: How will my identity be verified as an Individual developer?
A: After you have competed the order we will contact you to ask you to submit a Fax copy of your Photo ID ( e.g. Driving License, Passport or National ID card). We'll also need to contact you on a Landline number that we find for you, or at a Postal address that we find.
Q: Is this a world-wide offer:
A:no, applications from certain regions are not supported. Currently we support applications from the USA, and UK only, but expect to roll this out to other countries soon.
Q: How do I enroll?
A: Go through the following steps:
1.... Apply as normal by clicking on the "Buy now" link associated with the Code Signing product.
2.... Select 1, 2, or 3 year validity
3.... Enter Credit card payment information
4.... Enter GlobalSign Certificate Center (GCC) account details and establish a GCC user name and password for future certificate management purposes
5.... Enroll for your code signing certificate by entering your Full Legal name in the "Common Name" of the certificate identity details
6.... You may leave State and Locality Fields blank
Q: how long until I receive my digital ID.
A: Assuming your exact legal name was entered and GlobalSign's standard 3rd party verification check is successful, you can expect to receive your digital ID in 2- 3 business days.
