Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) on F5 FirePass

Global Support Centre > SSL Certificates > F5 FirePass > Generate a CSR

  1. Log onto the FirePass web administration interface.
  2. Click “Server” from the Administration Console, then “Security”, then “Certificates”.
  3. Click “Generate A New Certificate Request”.
  4. Once you've entered all of your company information into the CSR generation area, click “Generate Request”.
  5. When you download the CSR from the FirePass, it will actually be a .zip file containing both the private key and CSR.

    6. DO NOT send the private key to us - save it in a secure location. You will need the key and the password for the key (if you created a password when generating the CSR previously) during the certificate installation. Copy the entire contents of the CSR, insuring to include

    • and
    • -----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
