Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) with cPanel

Global Support Centre > SSL Certificates > cPanel > Generate a CSR

To Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) perform the following steps:

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. Locate the SSL Manager and load

  3. The following menu will appear

    4. SSL Manager

    The SSL Manager will allow you to generate ssl certificates, signing requests and keys.

  4. Please select the “Private Keys (KEY)” menu

  5. Please select your domain from the list, and press the generate button

  6. Go back to the SSL Manger main menu, and select “Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)”

  7. Please fill out the CSR Form correctly and press the generate button

  8. Once you have completed this task, select your CSR from the drop down and select view
  9. The following is an example of the code in your CSR:
    • -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
    • CSR CODE
    • -----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
  10. The above code must then be submitted via the GlobalSign website
