Requesting a OrganisationSSL Certificate with AutoCSR

  1. Select OrganizationSSL, choose AutoCSR and any of the other options you require, then click “Next” and the order confirmation screen will appear:
  2. Check the details of your order, click “Next” and you will then be prompted for information about your organisation:
  3. When all of your details have been entered, click “Next” and you will be asked for information regarding yourself, or whoever is considered to be the “applicant”.
  4. When entering “applicant” information, organisation details can be auto populated from the previous screen. To enable this, click on “Same as Organisation Details”. The “User ID” and “Password” fields should be unique and memorable for you and so cannot be auto-populated.
  5. When finished, click “Next” where you are able to enter the details of any billing contact or accountant for your organisation:
  6. If this person is yourself, then simply check the box marked “Check box if same as Application Details” This will automatically populate the fields with previously entered data.
  7. When you are happy, click “Next”
  8. At this stage, you will be presented with a review of all of the information you have entered so far and the Terms and Conditions of the GAS system. Read this page carefully and when you are happy, click “I Agree”
  9. Below figure 1.0 requires details about your website and locality:

  11. Enter your “Common Name” as a FQDN as normal or in some circumstances your NetBios name. “Country” should be the standard 2 character ISO code. The password should be alphanumeric, in that it contains both letters and numbers, and more than 8 characters. The system will append your chosen password with a randomly generated string to further strengthen the security of the p12 file.
  12. On completion of that screen, click “Confirm”. Review your information and then click “Next”.

  14. If you are ordering this certificate on behalf of someone else, then you can fill in their details here as the “end user”.
  15. The system will now ask you for payment details. Credit card method is set to default on the previous screen, so please enter the details here.
  16. The final enrolment screen is a complete review of the order and the Terms and Conditions of the certificate usage. When you are happy with this, click “I Agree”.
  17. A summary screen detailing your account username and order ID is displayed. It is wise to make a note of these for future reference and contact with GlobalSign.
  18. Once the enrolment process is complete, this is an appropriate time to look at the mailbox for the address that you selected for approving this order. Contained within that e-mail is a URL to a page where the order can either be approved or not. If it is rejected, then the order is cancelled and no more actions can be taken. By clicking on the “I Approve” button, you are authorising the applicant to order for this domain and the certificate will be issued.
  19. Go to the login page where you will be prompted for your user ID and password.
  20. Once you have successfully logged into the GlobalSign Certificate Centre, you will see the home page. From here, you can navigate around the account and do such tasks as order a new certificate or manage your existing orders as well deposit further funds etc.

  22. From the menu on the left hand side, click “Order History” which will display all certificate orders that have been placed through that account. Click on the “Edit” button next to the order in question. On the screen that appears, scroll right down to the bottom and along until the “Download Certificate” button is displayed.

  24. Click on the button and you will be presented with a confirmation screen and the system generated portion of the p12 password.

  26. Click “Save” to transfer the p12 file to your computer.
