GlobalSign Press ReleaseGlobalSign Continues to Develop Strong European Channel Offering
Major European hosting companies select GlobalSign Partner Program
Portsmouth, NH –25 March, 2008 – GlobalSign (www.globalsign.com), ne of the longest established Certification Authorities (CA) and specialists in SSL Certificate security, today announced that it saw significant momentum in channel and partner relations during 2007 and into 2008. In its first year after re-branding, the company launched exciting new products, solutions and systems to challenge the market. New high profile partners to come on board include leading German hosting service providers CPS Datensysteme and Regfish and Romanian Kratos Hosting.
During 2007, GlobalSign launched its channel-ready SSL solution designed specifically for SSL resellers, such as hosting companies, internet service providers (ISPs), consultants and integrators. The SSL Certificates are available through a revolutionary management interface or API designed with the channel in mind. The Enterprise Certificate Center a Software as a Service type solution, enables customers to quickly, simply and conveniently manage their customers’ SSL Certificates. GlobalSign’s “self-service portal” architecture means the reseller can react quickly to their customers, with even basic functions such as Certificate reissues and invoice generation being handled without the need to rely on the SSL Provider’s technical support people.
“GlobalSign brings 10 years of experience in the security sector, and the sophisticated product suite that Kratos is able to offer customers and its solution providers will immediately benefit end users,” said Catalin Raschka, Managing Director for Kratos Hosting, a recent addition to the GlobalSign partner program. “With GlobalSign, we will be able to uphold the highest levels of responsiveness to our customer’s security requirements.”
Key features of the GlobalSign SSL Certificate itself include the option of utilizing Domain Validation, Organization Validation or Extended Validation (DV, OV and EV), the free inclusion of Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) in every certificate (to “step up” weak 40 bit browser to server connections to strong 128 bit), extensive warranties and recognition by all popular browsers, applications and mobile devices. Clickable Site Seals, the ability to include Subject Alternative Names (SANs) and Wildcard characters to allow the securing of multiple servers and sites with a single certificate, all result in an SSL offering with comprehensive benefits for customers and solution providers worldwide.
“2007 has been a banner year for GlobalSign with a host of product, platform and company changes to deliver quality, reliable customer service as well as a focus on the consolidation of partner relationships with the likes of CPS-Datensystem, Regfish and Kratos,” said Paul Tourret, managing director, GlobalSign Ltd, “Our resellers are enjoying the freedom that the GlobalSign Partner Program offers by allowing the integration of SSL Certificates into their own product range. Partners are then able to create new revenue streams for their organizations by taking advantage of the credible GlobalSign SSL Certificate brand,”
