John has been appointed Vice President of Sales in the Americas and is responsible for managing GlobalSign’s sales team.
John comes to GlobalSign from GeoTrust (a VeriSign company) where in 2003 he joined as Senior Sales Representative. He significantly expanded GeoTrust's enterprise channel. In 2004, John became Enterprise Sales Manager and in less than two years increased enterprise sales from $1.6 million to over $5.0 million annually. John worked closely with product management, engineering, marketing, finance and support in developing product refinement and go to market strategy. John consistently exceeded targets and guided his team to achieve 124% of plan performance. GeoTrust's strong sales growth led to an acquisition by key competitor VeriSign in September 2006.
In 2007 as the new VP of Sales in the US, John is responsible for driving new enterprise and channel relationships for GlobalSign throughout the Americas.
In 2003, prior to GeoTrust, John was National Sales Manager for Cerida Inc. (formerly Telesales), an advanced contact center, where he was responsible for driving all sales for high technology companies. John forged relationships with sales and marketing executives and closed the company’s first F1000 consumer products telesales project resulting in annual billings exceeding $1MM.
John graduated in 1986 from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A., History and a minor in Business Administration. |
